Fleet Restoration
Complete Commercial Fleet Washing & Heavy Equipment Restoration in Salt Lake City, Utah
About This Project
A Full Fleet Restoration in a Single Day
In October 2022, Power Stream USA was contracted by Wilson Transportation to perform a complete commercial fleet washing and heavy equipment restoration at their Salt Lake City, Utah facility. The goal was straightforward: take a fleet that had accumulated months of road film, grease, mud, and grime — and restore every unit to a clean, professional, maintenance-ready condition.
Our crew mobilized to the Wilson Transportation yard and worked systematically through the entire fleet — over 30 commercial vehicles and pieces of heavy equipment — completing the full restoration in a single day. From semi trucks and sleeper cabs to excavators and forklifts, every unit received the same thorough treatment: hot water pressure washing, commercial degreaser application, and a final rinse that left the fleet looking sharp and inspection-ready.
For Wilson Transportation, a clean fleet isn't just about appearances — it's about protecting expensive assets, passing DOT inspections with confidence, and projecting a professional image on Utah's highways and jobsites. This project established a strong foundation for ongoing fleet maintenance cleaning.

Before & After Gallery
Real before and after photos from the Wilson Transportation fleet restoration project in Salt Lake City, Utah — semi trucks, forklifts, fuel trailers, excavators, and specialty equipment transformed by Power Stream USA's commercial pressure washing service.
Months of I-15 miles packed grease and road salt into every crevice of this rear axle — the exact buildup that hides brake leaks from DOT inspectors.
Classic Utah winter damage: oxidized paint, salt deposits along the frame rails, and grime packed into the step wells — all of it gone after a single commercial pressure washing service.
The Wilson Transport yard before Power Stream USA arrived — every tractor showing road film, exhaust staining, and mud accumulation from year-round Utah heavy haul operations.
The "Wilson Transport" branding is barely readable through the road film — a clean trailer is a rolling billboard, and this one had gone dark.
Grease-coated fuel filters and oil-soaked hoses make it impossible to spot developing leaks — engine bay degreasing is the most critical step in any commercial fleet washing program.
Specialty trucks like this knuckle-boom Freightliner need the same thorough commercial pressure washing as line-haul tractors — crane pivot points and hydraulic fittings hide wear under grime.
Heavy oil staining on the mast rails and chassis — the kind of buildup that contaminates product loads and creates OSHA slip hazards for forklift operators.
Compacted mud packed into every track link adds hundreds of pounds of dead weight and grinds away sprockets and rollers — excavator pressure washing removes it before the damage compounds.
Petroleum residue on the tank exterior and pump assembly is a genuine fire hazard — fuel trailer washing is a safety requirement, not just a cosmetic service.
Support vehicles like this DOT-registered F-150 show up at every jobsite and weigh station — road grime along the lower panels and wheel wells is the first thing customers and inspectors notice.
A Miller welder and full utility bed make this F-450 a rolling shop — and every tool compartment and equipment surface was coated in the grease and exhaust residue that commercial pressure washing removes in minutes.
Freightliner #71 alongside a red Peterbilt with the Wilson Transport curtain trailer behind — the full mixed-fleet reality of a heavy haul operation, all of it needing the same thorough commercial washing.
Those rear axle hubs are polished to a mirror finish — a clean undercarriage like this lets DOT inspectors spot fluid leaks in seconds instead of flagging the whole unit.
Every chrome grille slat individually cleaned — the wet pavement in the background means Power Stream USA's crew was still working the rest of the fleet while this unit was already inspection-ready.
The crane arm, hydraulic lines, and mounting frame are completely clean — on a specialty truck like this, grease on pivot points accelerates wear that's nearly impossible to spot until it's already a failure.
The Roll-Rite tarp arm, the Wilson Transport curtain trailer, and Freightliner #25 all visible and gleaming — one wide shot that captures the full scope of the yard transformation.
Unit #57 alongside, the red Freightliner behind, and the wet wash pad reflecting the Utah sky — one of the most striking wide shots from the entire 30-vehicle fleet restoration.
The wet asphalt reflects the Wasatch Mountain foothills and the red Wilson Transport Freightliner behind — the most cinematic shot from the entire project.
The "Wilson Transport Heavy Hauling Services" door lettering is crisp and professional — this is what a fleet looks like when it's ready to represent the brand at every weigh station and customer site.
The bold "Wilson Transport" branding is back — road film had turned this rolling billboard into a blank panel before Power Stream USA's commercial trailer washing service.
Obscured trailer lights are one of the most common DOT violation categories — these red markers are vivid and unobstructed, exactly what a roadside inspector needs to see.
The bright green paint is vivid, the pump assembly is free of petroleum residue, and the "Diesel Fuel Only" label is clearly legible — fuel trailer washing is a fire safety requirement, not just cosmetic.
Four Load Trail tankers gleaming under the covered bay — a vintage Ford F-6 stake truck parked at the far right is a quiet reminder of how long Wilson Transport has been running Utah's highways.
The red tribal graphics pop against bright white panels, the DOT lettering is sharp, and the Wasatch Mountains frame the scene — support vehicles carry the brand everywhere, and this one looks the part.
Three brands, three different hydraulic systems, all cleaned in a single mobilization — the wet concrete pad and clean mast channels make hydraulic leak detection straightforward at the next maintenance check.
The model designation is clearly readable and the track frames are fully exposed — clean tracks run cooler, wear slower, and make undercarriage inspections possible without guesswork.
